Their extensive range of Biggar Flavour preserves and a range of packed shortbreads, oatcakes, crackers and biscuits are all made in the Biggar Flavour kitchen, right next door. The preserves have gained eleven 1 star Great Taste and two 2 star awards over the years.
The Original and Completely Cheesy oatcakes both gained 2 star awards and Cracked Black Pepper and Three Seed have 1 star Great Taste awards in their first year of production. The Luxury Butter shortbread also has a 1 star award.
The chilled section in The Orchard holds a wide range of baked goods – traybakes, brownies, filled biscuits and cakes, including options for free-from diets.
The ingredients used for baking are Scottish by choice whenever possible – Mungoswells for flour, Grahams for dairy and local Hillwood free-range eggs.

A recent addition to the treats available from The Orchard are the Biggar Flavour Sunshine boxes – the “Letterbox of Sunshine” includes a selection of baked goods which changes each week and the “Biggar boxes” contain a mix of biscuits, oatcakes and preserves depending on the variety chosen. These can be delivered locally, around the UK or collected in store.
The Orchard also has a reputation for creating wonderful gift hampers, boxes and cheeseboards, all year round, but particularly for the Christmas market. The extensive range of fine foods stocked, coupled with the Biggar Flavour brand creates a unique gift experience. A selection of standard hampers or bespoke options are available.
