The Robertson Arms Hotel is a traditional coaching inn in the Lanarkshire village of Carnwath.

This wee gem of a hotel has been delighting guests travelling through the Clyde Valley, both locals and tourists alike. The hotel was originally three cottages built in 1823 and still retains many original features. Owners Jan and Ray Henderson family have lovingly renovated throughout to catapult the Robertson Arms into the 21st century.

This gem of a hotel has been delighting guests travelling through the Clyde Valley, both locals and tourists alike. Situated just 100 metres from the first tee of Carnwath Golf Course makes it an ideal stopover for the keen golfer. The cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh can be reached in 45 minutes by car with plenty of park and ride options

The hotel has been awarded a Visit Scotland Gold 3 Star Accreditation of which they are rated at the top end.

The hotel offers 9 tastefully decorated rooms, friendly service, and superb locally-sourced food make this the perfect base to explore Lanarkshire and further afield in Scotland.

The eating area and coffee lounge '“The Nook and Cranny” is open all day, where you can relax on the comfy sofas with a coffee in the afternoon or a glass of wine in the evening.

Diners can choose to eat outdoors on their decked area or indoors in their “Nook”, both of which serve classic pub food as well as traditional afternoon tea. The main function suite is available for larger parties. 

The Lanarkshire hotel is part of the Taste Our Best accreditation scheme run by Visit Scotland that celebrates businesses who serve locally-sourced, quality food and drink.

The Bistro is open seven days a week.
