Millers Larder

Millers Larder are artisan producers of

handmade chutneys, preserves and an award

winning Perfyit Piccalilli to accompany

a whole range of foods.

We have taken and updated traditional family recipes creating new chutneys and a Perfyit Piccalilli to give them a fresh unique modern day taste to accompany a whole range of foods One seasonal recipe being Stella’s  Bramble Jelly which I’m very happy to share an updated technique of ‘The How To’ in memory of my Mum Stella to pass on the skills of a traditional foraged preserve as my way of putting ‘something back’ and fund raising for Cancer Research Scotland Lanark Branch.

Delighted to have recently been on the James Martin Saturday Show to share my family’s farming heritage and to showcase the Perfyit Piccalilli.

These are made in small batches by classically trained chefs with the Perfyit Piccalilli available  direct as foodservice  from Braehead Foods  Ltd, Kilmarnock, Dunn’s Food and Drink, Blantyre, Lomond Wholesale Food Co, Glasgow and Mark Murphy ( Dole), Edinburgh.

Local retail customers include The Scottish Tea House at Dillerburn, Ramsay’s of Carluke, Roasted in Strathaven and Errington Barn Cheese Shop and Café. Elsrickle near Biggar.

We are passionate about sourcing and cooking using local seasonal ingredients and suppliers whenever possible.  It’s important for us that we buy from, support and promote Lanarkshire Larder, our Scottish and British farmers, growers, fishing and hospitality businesses whenever possible.

Healthy Valleys

Healthy Valleys is a community-led health initiative that supports communities in rural South Lanarkshire. We focus on providing opportunities for local people to improve their health and wellbeing and build stronger communities in areas of deprivation or where there are service gaps. Our resilience is our strength allowing us to quickly adapt to support the ever-changing needs of the community since 2003.

Healthy Valleys has been an approved REHIS training centre since 2010 offering elementary qualifications in food hygiene, nutrition and practical cooking skills. We aim to support communities to gain the confidence to prepare and cook food safely while understanding healthy food options.
